Sorry for the caps but I'm just so excited. It's our first long weekend which signifies summer! Okay so the weather isn't super, super great but I'm going to be thankful that I'm not going up "north" and doing all that travelling. I'm in the good City of Barrie and we have our beautiful back yard all set up with our deck, patio, gazebo, hot tub and ready for our own personal little getaway!!

I'm really looking forward to having a few friends over. What are everyone's plans? I would love to hear what your plans are? Having company over? BBQ? Travel? Opening up the cottage? Going to a friends cottage? The opportunities are endless aren't they?

So grateful for the opportunities that exist. Do you know the meaning of Victoria Day. Now it isn't really "May Two-Four" is it?

Well, whatever you do and however you're meant to celebrate, I hope you have the chance to enjoy with friends, family, etc.

Looking Forward To Summer, Aren't You?

What is going on with the weather? I'm totally looking forward to the weather getting better and having some sunshine back in our lives. It's amazing how it affects us all and how we all seem to be in better spirits.

I do my best to be in a positive frame of mind no matter the weather but no one's perfect and it is challenging. No one can truly be "up" all the time and you have to wonder what they're up to or rather, how is it truly possible to have that kind of disposition? It's not possible and we are human.

Well, how has everyone been doing? On the real estate front, the mortgage rates are still the lowest we've seen and I still firmly believe it's a great time to buy. If you've been thinking about a first time home buying option or upgrading to a 'newer', bigger home; it really, truly is a great time. I've been thinking about it myself but for me personally, how does one make the time to move and keep up a busy, challenging career?

I know I'd like to have a bungalow. Right now I have a two storey right now which has a lot of space and everything for us and the children. There's just something glorious and spacious about a bungalow though. The open concept and everything is just spectular. I'll know "it's the one", when I see it. I'm not a big mover either and like to give the children as much stability as possible. I love my neighbourhood too. Well, I guess I'm not moving any time soon. LOL

Income properties are good to buy too. I've been working with a lot of investors and they're definitely taking advantage of the prices. I'm pretty much a full service real estate professional. I have experience with rentals, investments, commercial properties and pretty much everything real estate related. I've either experienced myself or been educated to know. Also have other professionals in our REMAX office so you'll have the knowledge and experience of many.

Well, mother's day is upon us so let's hope for some nice weather and fantastic day to our mothers. So, "happy mother's day" to all those whom are mothers, grandmothers and those that were born to a mother. LOL

How are you going to show your mother or grandmother love? Any special plans? Are you a mom? Would love to hear your stories.

Opportunities Exist - What are you waiting for and what paths will you choose?

It's been incredibly busy for real estate and I've had to evaluate the best use of my time. I'm very customer service oriented and had to ensure my time was not taken away from that.

I cannot get over how things are going in real estate. I do not see any change in the season and real estate at all! Given the prices, it's a great time if someone is either thinking about investing or wanting to upgrade their present home. This seriously is not a sales pitch. It's the truth and I'm seriously considering upgrading to the bungalow and home I really want. Before the prices were much higher and seeing a really, really good balance and stabilization. And the rates? The best, historically they've ever been! I suggest a variable rate, if you're good at watching the market and then LOCK IN!

If you can, try keeping your existing house and rent it out! If you can't, ensure to have it priced just right, in comparison to others in the market and "competition". This will secure it's saleability and hopefully not sit on the market too long.

I am speaking from personal and professional experience. If you've been thinking about investing, now really is the time! We won't see this for too much longer as people are putting their faith in things again and we're truly seeing a lot of development here in the Barrie area.

Anyway, I'm linking an event I have every intention of going to. I'm a fan of the Celebrity Apprentice and watched the Executive from Zappos in the episode. Outside of the odd endorsement from Scott Hamilton for the girl "eeeeeeee" and Tom Green's emphasis and ridicule on that, it's really stuck in my mind the amazing transformation and success of this online company. I'd love to hear him (Alfred Lin) speak as he's one of the keynote speakers. I also love the opportunity of networking with other real estate professionals and keep up-to-date technology-wise to see what's going on out there. Sure, I can google online, etc but better to try and be ahead of the game and get some real insight. That's some of my reasons, if you're a fellow professional, what are yours?
